What To Expect As a Guest

Sunday Morning Worship

We offer two identical morning worship services-at 8:00am and 10:45am. In each service, we offer a mix of contemporary praise and worship songs and favorite hymns of the faith. Our pastor brings a message grounded in the Bible and designed to be applied to your everyday life.

Our congregation spans a range of ages and backgrounds. You'll see people in the pews dressed in all styles—from jeans to business suits. What a person wears to church is not an issue. We, like God, care about people, not clothes.

Each service lasts for about one hour and fifteen minutes. Near the beginning, the pastor will encourage you to greet the people sitting around you, but no one will single you out as a visitor. Also, we don't expect our visitors to give. So feel free to let the offering plate pass by when it comes down your row. Click here to see a full listing of service times and directions.

Where do I go once I get there?

We encourage you to park either in the upper lot that is adjacent to the Belt Highway entrance and use those doors, or to go to the back parking lot and park in one of the designated visitor parking spots and come in under the "King's Kids" banner. When you enter either way, you will be welcomed by greeters. Just tell them that you are a guest and they will get you where you need to go.

What about my kids?

On Sunday mornings during worship, families with kids can feel at home at McCarthy. We provide a nursery for birth through three years old during the worship service. About halfway through the service, we dismiss kids from 4 years old to 2nd grade to go to a special Children's Church service designed just for them. We encourage all parents to go to the children's wing and sign-in their children so that we have any important information concerning allergies, food restrictions, and so that we can issue you a pager to wear so that you can be contacted discreetly if your child needs you during the service.

We also offer a full and exciting  ministry lineup through our King's Kids Children's Ministry throughout the week. Click here to see what we offer.

Can I meet the Pastors on Sunday Morning?

The Pastors would be honored to meet you! After both services, the Pastors gather at the information desk in the front lobby. Please come by and introduce yourself. They also have a small gift they would like to give you as a way to say thank you for your visit.

Another great opportunity to get to know the Pastors of the church is at a Discover McCarthy Gathering. Click here for details about the location, date, and time for the next gathering.
