The King’s Kids
The Children’s Ministry of McCarthy Baptist Church
 King’s Kids, the Children’s Ministry of McCarthy Baptist Church, offers an exciting, Christ-centered experience for kids. Our main children’s program is AWANA, which is a fun, high energy, Bible-centered discipleship time for kids that encourage them to memorize scripture so that they can know Jesus Christ and grow in a relationship with Him. In AWANA, the children experience worship, group Bible study, missions education, Bible verse memorization, and recreation. The children are led by enthusiastic and dedicated children's volunteers. All children in AWANA will earn badges and points for their learning progress.
Special Events
Throughout the year, the King's Kids also sponsors four major events that are designed not only for the kids in the church, but as a community outreach, as well. These events, The Easter Egg-Stravaganza, Vacation Bible School, The Great Pumpkin Patch Party, and the Birthday Party for Jesus, are always a big deal! Your Child's Safety
Your child’s safety is also a top priority. When you bring your child to the Children’s Wing, he or she will receive an ID sticker that matches your  sticker. On Sunday mornings, parents receive a pager that will notify you if you’re needed for any reason. On Wednesday nights, we utilize your cell phone to contact you. All our children’s workers are screened and go through a background check before working with kids. Working with your children is a trust we don’t take lightly.

King's Kids Schedule At A Glance...
Wednesday Night AWANA Club (2 years old-6th grade) @ 6:00-7:30 in the Sanctuary (The AWANA club begins in September and ends in May)
Sunday Morning Small Groups (2 years old-6th grade) @ 9:30-10:30 in the Children's Wing (Rear Entrance under the King's Kids Banner)
Sunday Morning Children's Church (Ages 4-2nd grade) during the 10:45 Worship Service in the Fellowhsip Hall (Kids are dismissed during the Worship Service)
Nursery (Birth-3 years old) provided during all worship services and AWANA times in the Children's Wing
